Wendy Cantrell, DNP, CRNP(Director At-Large)
Wendy is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her BSN in 1996 and her MSN in 2000 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In 2011, she completed her doctoral studies in nursing practice (DNP) at UAB. She is an Assistant Professor in the UAB School of Medicine Department of Dermatology. She has practiced at UAB Dermatology for 18 years as the manager of clinical research. She also has medical dermatology clinics. Wendy has participated in over 100 clinical research programs as an investigator, and she has authored 50 peer reviewed journal articles. She is on the Advisory Board for the Dermatology Education Resource Meeting (DERM), and is a charter member of the Alabama Society of Dermatology Professionals. She is a member of the Dermatology Nurses Association, DNA Nurse practitioner forum, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
